Grace Marsh was born about 1648 in Hartford, Connecticut Colony. She was the granddaughter of Governor John Webster of Connecticut and daughter of The Governor of Connecticut John Marsh and Anne Webster his wife.
She married Timothy Baker on 26 Jan 1672/1673. In Northampton, Massachusetts.[1]
They had two sons who were presumed to have died young. Timothy jr. survived, he may have been raised by relatives after Grace died in 1676.
Grace had 2 children, Grace and Timothy, both of whom were long believed to have died early. However, Timothy, Jr. did survive, and is mentioned in his grandfather's will. He was probably raised by Marsh relatives and as an adult moved on to NY and then Hunterdon Co., NJ. Ydna from his living direct male descendants indicates a match to descendants of Timothy Baker, Sr.[2]
This is the daughter of John Marsh named Grace. Not to be confused with Grace Martin, John Marsh's niece who came to live with him after her father abandoned her.
