Death 1 May 1915 30 miles south-west of Galloper Lightvessel off the Thames Estuary, southern North Sea, age 24, son of John and Minnie Marsh, of 20 Vernon Place, Canterbury, Kent, England. He was killed in action aboard H.M.S. Recruit torpedoed by German submarine UB-6. He went down with the ship and is commemorated on panel 11 of the Chatham Naval Memorial, Chatham, Kent, England.[3][4]
His next of kin were sent an Memorial Plaque after the war.
