Note: the parental relationship to John and Rebecca Marsh was copied from a number of ancestry.com public family trees, unfortunately there were zero sources cited in any of these trees for Moses, nor was any source cited in the the profile of his alleged father John Marsh, linking them as father and son; hence the relationship is unconfirmed. However, the 1855 and 1865 census records cited in this profile do, in fact, confirm that Moses Marsh was born in Montgomery/Fulton County and had moved to Grove, Allegeny, NY around 1845. Thus these census records confirm Moses Marsh was born in the location known to be the residence of John and Rebecca Marsh at the time of his birth. Furthermore, there were only two Marsh families living in all of Montgomery County in 1800 ( John and Joseph Marsh) hence there is a 50 % probability that John was the father of Moses.
