Louise Elva Myhre
Louise Elva Myhre, 85, died October 22 at her home in Kalispell after a long illness. [2]She was born in Froid on March 12, 1913 to Charles and Grace Marsh. She lived in the south Flaxville area nearly all her life, coming to the Smoke Creek community when she was only six weeks old, with her parents and brother, Alvin, to homestead. After attended Smoke Creek School she went to high school in Minneapolis.
She and Sven Myhre were married in Minneapolis in 1930[3] and they returned to his farm south of Flaxville where they raised their family. They later bought a home closer to school and then a house in Scobey. Her husband died in 1965. She lived on the farm until recently, when she moved to Kalispell to be near her daughters.
She was a member of Pleasant Prairie Church, the Home Dem Club and many birthday clubs. She enjoyed all kinds of crafts, baking and cooking.
