Biography

Hannah was born in 1839. She passed away in 1909.

Hannah C Marsh was born in Naples, NY, June 1, 1839. She married John W Hewitt of Naples, Oct 10 1858. They came to Michigan in 1891 and settled in Woodville where they resided for 5 years. After leaving Woodville they came to Big Rapids which has been there home ever since. Seven children were the result of their union. Only 4 survive: Ralph W of Big Rapids, Charles A of Fremont, Mrs F Chambers of Lansing & Mrs J.C. Oleson of Grand Rapids. Her husband departed this life on Mar 10, 1896. For 23 years she has been a faithful & consistent member of the First Presbyterian church of this city. She was also a member of the W.C.T.U. She died at the home of her daughter in Lansing on Nov 7 1909. Two brothers survive her Darwin & Stillwell Marsh of Naples.
