James died in 1845 and is buried in Love's Chapel cemetery in Loogootee, Indiana.
In 1860, Frances was living with her son Clayton in Big Creek, Cass, Missouri [2]
In 1870, Frances was living with her son Clayton in Pleasant Hill, Cass, Missouri. [3]
Frances died in 1873 and is buried in Pleasant Hill cemetery. Her headstone shows: Frances/Wife of/Jas. Van Hoy/Died/Mar. 30, 1873/aged/82 Yrs. 4M's. 18Ds [4]
