Lawrence Jay Marshall was born in Manchester, New Hampshire on November 28, 1929. He was the son of Earle Jay Marshall and Bertha Maude (Cleveland) Marshall.
He married Dale Imogene Murphy.
He joined the United States Marines and served as a Navigator aboard B-52D Stratofortress, #56-0584 with the 22nd Bomb Wing.
Major Marshall was killed in action on December 27, 1972 in Chonburi, Thailand when his helicopter crashed into land after being hit.
He is honored on the Vietnam Veterans Wall of Faces : Panel 1W, Line 107.
