Alexander was born in 1747. He was the son of Samuel Marshall and Joanna Cook.
He was baptized in Bloomfield on 28 Jun 1747.
Alexander Marshall was a Veteran of the Revolutionary War. He responded with the men of Simsbury to the Lexington Alarm, April 1775.
He married Lydia Moses (1751–1804).
He passed away in 1801. Buried at Old Wintonbury Cemetery, Bloomfield, Hartford County, Connecticut.
