Lucy Marshall (daughter of John Marshall and Mary Malone) was born March 07, 1740/41 in Mecklenburg Co. Virginia, and died March 25, 1821 in Brunswick Co. Virginia. She married (1) George Carter on Abt. 1760 in Brunswick Co. Virginia. She married (2) George Booth Malone on January 27, 1777 in Brunswick Co. Virginia.

Notes for Lucy Marshall: Marshall, John - Will Book 2, Page 132. Names: Wife - not named and evidently deceased. Children - Samuel Marshall, James Marshall, Benjamin Marshall, Lucy Malone, Ann Nance, wife of Robert Nance. Grandson - Jesse Carter Granddaughter - Catherine Carter Granddaughters - Mary Ingram and Betsy Hooper Granddaughter - Judith Nance Specific bequests to each of those named. Executors: Sons Samuel and James Marshall Witnesses: John Arnold, William Pegram and Elisha Arnold Will dated July 17, 1782. Recorded Nov. 14, 1785.

Lucy Marshall Carter Malone died in 1821 leaving her will dated 1819: Brunswick County, Virginia Will Book #9, page 148. Dated July 9, 1819, Proved March 1821. Will of Mrs. Lucy (Marshall) Carter Malone: Sons: Robert and James Malone. Daughters: Polly Hodges, Catherine Farrar, Sally Bugg. Children of my son Jesse Carter, deceased. Children of my daughter Elizabeth Hooper, they being Polly and Elizabeth Hooper. Executors: My son James Malone and son-in-law John Bugg. Witnesses: Davis (David) Moss, Claiborne Malone, G. B. Hudson.
