The Elizabeth daughter of David Rozier was in a different Virginia county location than the Elizabeth daughter of Thomas Marshall. The only thing in common is that they were born about the same time 1688 vs 1684. Location is always a good indication of a family connection. Elizabeth daughter of David married Robert Rankins over in Hanover, King George County, VA about 1706. There is no proof she is the one given the heifer in the will of Thomas Marshall. Location points to the reason that she is not. Bridges Rosier's will proves he and Elizabeth Marshall were in the right location.

It is very important to note the location of where a person lived back then. Ten to twenty miles was a long distance to go by foot, horse or wagon. These two Elizbeth Rozier's were in different counties and that poor heifer never would have survived the journey to another county. Elizabeth Marshall, daughter of Thomas Marshall and Martha Sherwood, can be presumed to be the correct person based on the heifer given to her in the will of Thomas Marshall and the location where she lived.
