Marshall-9633 and Marshall-3380 appear to represent the same person because: Not sure why these were set to Unmerged Match; they are clearly the same person-- same parents, same spouse, same birth data.

This seems to be the best source of information on this family besides DNA evidence:

and https://www.familytreedna.com/groups/rankin/about/results and others The Rankins in Stafford and Frederick are connected by DNA and seemingly the Robert Rankins family lived in Stafford before Frederick.

One conclusive member of Robert Rankins family is William Rankins, his brother. This is proven by Revolutionary War Records.

Which brings me to to 'Mary Rankins', born in Stafford around 1755, who married Henry Ward in 1776. Could this be a sister?

Can someone provide a record linking Margaret Masena Marshall as Robert Rankin's mother? All the records I've found on Margaret "Peggy" Marshall show she was the YOUNGEST child of Thomas Marshall and Elizabeth Markham Marshall. She would have been born after 1741- which makes her too young to birth Robert Ranking in 1753. Also, all the records I've found state that Margaret Marshall married Hugh Snelling and had 4 children with him. None of them are a Robert Rankin. I've been two different Son's of the American Revolution applications that show Robert Rankin's mother & father as two different sets of parents. I'm having a hard time proving it or proving Robert Rankin is related to the Marshall family.
