Biography

Manasseh married Terriah, was a cooper, settled in Boston before 1762, died in November 1791, his will:

"I give to my beloved wife, Terriah, all she brought at her marriage, and £63 in money; also the occupation and improvement of my house on Middle st., so long as she remains my widow.

As I have already paid so much money to my son James, I give him only 5s. All the rest and residue of my estate, real, personal, and mixed, I give to my two sons, David and Nathaniel, at the same time advising them that they take care of James, John, and Elizabeth, chr. of my son James, that they be clothed, educated, and ap- prenticed to some good trade, in such a manner as chil- dren in their circumstances generally are"^[1]
