Firmin Martin was born around 1763, likely in Acadie. His parents were Simon Martin and Théotiste Amireau. During the estimated period of Firmin's birth, his parents were recorded in Petcoudiac in June 1757 and were prisoners in Halifax in 1763 with 5 children. After 1763, the family settled in Rustico. [1][2][3]

He married Marguerite Poirier around 1788.

None could sign.

Martin-75145 and Martin-104 appear to represent the same person because: Date of birth is estimated to before 1763 according to Island Register source. Same spouse, same son Simon.

Stephen White says Barthelemy Martin died before the census of 1761, therefore this man is not his son OR his birth date is wrong. It is also incorrect on the source cited.
