Descendant of First Nations Anne "dit Petitous" Ouestnorouest.

Firmin Martin was born around 1763, likely in Acadie. His parents were Simon Martin and Théotiste Amireau. During the estimated period of Firmin's birth, his parents were recorded in Petcoudiac in June 1757 and were prisoners in Halifax in 1763 with 5 children. After 1763, the family settled in Rustico. ^[1][2][3]
