Biography

This profile is part of the Chebacco Parish, Massachusetts One Place Study.

John Martin, Jr., the son of John and Jane (Durke) Martin, was born October 17, 1712, probably in the Chebacco Parish of Ipswich, Massachusetts.[1][2]

He married Elizabeth Thompson in Ipswich on December 12, 1734. In 1739, the family removed from Ipswich to Lunenburg, Massachusetts.[3][4][5]

John Martin died in Lunenburg on April 17, 1753, at the age of 40, leaving a widow and ten children.[3][4][6][7]

His inventory was taken on 3 May 1753 in Lunenburg.[8]
