Biography

Luce Ludivine Martin, daughter of Jean Baptiste Martin & Marie Brun, was born in Port-Royal 22 JUL 1739; baptized there the next day. [1]She died after 1809 at French Village, York County, New Brunswick, Canada .

Luce Martin and Daniel Gaudin, son of Jacques Gaudin & Marie Anne Bergeron, were married 1765 9 September by the priest of the parish of Sainte Anne de la Pocatiere. [2]

    1765 9 September I the undersigned priest after three publications of banns, performed the marriage of Daniel Gaudin, son of the late Jacques Gaudin and of Marie Anne Bergeron, the father and the mother of this Parish of the one part; and Luce Martin, daughter of Jean Baptiste Martin and of the late Marie Brun, the father and mother also of this Parish on the other part; having found no impediment and having received their mutual consent...in the presence of Jean Gui, friend of the groom and of Jean Baptiste Martin, father, Joseph Martin, Jean Martin, brothers and of Antoine (unreadable) Gaudin...and of aborigines and other friends of the bride and groom who have said they do not know how to sign...but there is a signature of Jean Guy before the priest's signature.
