Biography

James Elwin Martin was born on Feb 10, 1858 in Delaware, Ohio, USA. [1].

On Feb 14, 1878, James and Alice Eva Wornstaff were married in Delaware, Ohio, United States by Elder John Biggs, a Baptist Minister. [2]. James and Alice were married for forty-eight (48) years until Alice's death.

James Elwin Martin died on Dec 15, 1934 in Delaware, Ohio, USA. [1] James is buried in Sec. F, lot 10, grave E of Marlborough Cemetery located in Delaware, Ohio, USA. The head stone is small and heavily weathered. [3]

Research Notes

James often signed documents as Elwin Martin. Based on this, he likely was called Elwin instead of James. I have even saw a Signature of E. A. Martin on the marriage certificate of his son Claude Martin Martin-40271 22:00, 31 December 2017 (EST)
