Geneva was a long time Clovis resident, moving here when she was 7 years old. She loved to sew, crochet, needle point and quilt, and was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. She is survived by one daughter, Betty Strange of Clovis; two sons, Cecil Spriggs of Clovis and Ace Spriggs of Pueblo, Colorado; one sister Dolly Slaughter of Shallowater, Texas; five grandchildren, Jerrod (Susan) Strange of Portales, New Mexico, Sheri (Danny) Porter of Pueblo, Colorado, Lee, Jacob and John Spriggs, all of Pueblo, Colorado, and six great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter Spriggs; stepson, Gerald Spriggs; four brothers, John, Jim, Homer, and Preston Martin; two sisters, Mary White and Vera Williams; son-in-law, Dean Strange, and daughter-in-law, Rose Spriggs. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 12 at Steed-Todd Chapel with Pastor Joe Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow at Mission Garden of Memories. Casket bearers will be Jerrod Strange, Jack Alsup, Lee Spriggs, Danny Porter, and John Spriggs. The family will be gathering at 1620 Avondale in Clovis.
