Peachum "Peachy" Martin Peachy Martin was born 1750 at Ilseham, Cambridge, England On 10 Nov 1773 Peachy Martin stole a gelding and rig from Matthew Stubbing. He was tried at Bury St. Edmunds on 22 Ap;ril 1774. He was convicted and sentenced to death, but the sentence was commuted to transportation for 14 years. In 1789 Martin was in Baltimore County when he purchased part of Sportsman’s Hall from Darby Lux.
