Biography

Sary Ann Matilda was born in 1837. She was the daughter of Spencer Martin and Margaret Sturm.

In 1849, she received a bequest from her father Spencer Martin:

I will also to my son Dorsey I will out of the bequeathment made to my son Dorsey Martin he shall pay to my daughter Sary ann Matilda Martin seventy five dollars at the age of twenty one years and also to pay my son William Martin out of said bequeathment twenty five dollars.
Lastly all the residue and the remainder of my estate I will shall be divided equally between my daughters Marinda and Sary ann Matilda and my son Thornton this I will they shall be paid too {two} years after my decease

In 1859, she married Joshua Parrish. They lived together in Marion, (West) Virginia until after 1910.

She died in 1912, at the age of seventy five
