Amanda E. (Martin) Baker was born on 2 Feb 1860 in Van Buren County, Tennessee, USA, daughter of William Carroll Martin (1820 - 1894) and Polly Mary Ann (Grissom) Martin (1819 - 1898).

Amanda married James Millard Baker (1853 - 1923).

  3. Amanda Lillian Baker (1887 - 1950)
  4. John Bowers Baker (1890 - 1966)

In the 1920 census Amda (age 59) was the wife of James Baker in Civil District 6, Van Buren, Tennessee.[6] James Baker 67, wife Amda Baker 59.

Amanda died on 12 Dec 1934 in Van Buren County aged 74. She is buried in Long Cemetery, Van Buren County.[7][8]
