1851 Census In 1851 Sarah and husband James are living in Edward Street in Bermondsey. Sarah is a 21 year old tailoress - hence the guestimate of a birth year of 1930 - born in Bermonsey, Surrey. [1] Back then Bermondsey was in Surrey until it became part of London in about 1868.
1860 Emigration On the 4th July, 1860, Sarah, husband James and their 4 children sailed on the "Evening Star" arriving at Port Chalmers in New Zealand on the 13th October. [2]
1903 Death Sarah died on 17th April, 1903 at her home, 203 Cumberland Street, Dunedin. [3] [4] and she was buried with her husband James in the Northern Cemetery, Dunedin. [5]
