Biography

William Waddell Martin, son of Abraham Martin (1808-1845) and Rebecca Waddell (1810-1858), was born in Anderson County, South Carolina in 1829.^[1] He was the oldest of six children:

Martha Ann (1810-1910)

He married Sarah Mills when she was 15.^[2] They began farming in Pickens, whey there began their family:
