Anne Jane McClean married Ebenezer Martin on 29 July 1855 at Seapatrick, County Down, Ireland. [1] Fathers Robert McClean and Robert Martin.

The Martin family emigrated from Ireland to Australia.

In 1872 they lived in Toodyay, Western Australia, Australia where daughter Madeline was born.

McCLEAN-MARTIN. - On July 29, 1855. at Church of England, Banbridge, Ireland. by the Rev. Medge, Ann Jane McClean and Ebenezer Martin. Goldcn Wedding.

He passed away in 1910 and was buried at the Bunbury Cemetery. [3]


MR. EBENEZER MARTIN. - Mr. Ebenezer Martin,- a resident o£ the Preston district for many years, passed away at his residence, "Inglewood Park,," Preston, on Saturday evening last. The remains of the deceased gentleman were interred in the Anglican portion of the Bunbury cemetery, yesterday afternoon at 5 o'clock. The Rev. Thos. Secombe officiated at the graveside. There were a large number present to witness the last sad act, amongst them being his sons, Messrs. R. M. Martin, J. E- Martin, and S. H. Martin, and his daughters, Mrs. G. Herbert, Mrs. T. C. Holmes, and Mrs. F. Meagher. A large number of towns people also followed the sad cortege to the Cemetery. Messrs. J. and H. Cribbs carried out the mortuary arrangements. Mr. Martin resided in the Preston district for the past last twelve years. Before that he was located in several of the North West towns. He was a member of the police force many years ago at Roebourne. He was later in business at Cossack as a contractor, and is well known in those parts. The deceased gentleman was the father of Mrs. Holmes, whose husband was Inspector of Police for a long time in this district, and also of Mrs. F. J. Meagher, who is also well known locally. The deceased was 77 years of age, and died from natural causes
