Biography

Reputedly very handsome. Raised at Balleny, Dromore. Worked at Scotland when harvest was over and some of his children were born there. Listed as a Brickworker. Married Rachel Cully, his first wife at St Anne's, Belfast on 28th July 1892. Rachel died young and his children were 'farmed out' to different families. He subsequently married Scottish Woman, Mary Martin and he apparently lived at the Quilly Burn, Dromore and had two other children Geordie and Sadie. Sadie's decendent's still live in Dromore and George's family I think moved to Scotland. Died in Banbridge Hospital aged 70.
