Joseph Martin married Ann Cooper on 16 August 1851 at Bangor, Down, Ireland. Fathers Barney Martin and Andrew Cooper. [1] [2]

Emigrated with the whole family to Australia on SS Waroonga arriving in Brisbane on 2 Oct 1885 where he settled to raise his family. [3]

He passed away in 1886 [4] and was buried on 7 March 1886 at the Toowong Cemetery, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. [5]
