Biography

Pierre Martin was born at St-Ours on Feb. 5, 1865 and he was baptized there the next day. He was the son of Isidore Martin and Olive Fredette of St-Ours.

Pierre Martin married Rose Anna Labossiere on July 20, 1886 at St-Ours. [1] She was the 12th. known child and the sixth daughter of seven for Alexis Labossiere and Sophie Arsenault. Rose Anna and Pierre appear to have lived their whole lives at St-Ours. They had 12 children born there between 1887 and 1904, nine boys and three girls, but sadly two died as infants and another at 24 years old.

[4] Census Dates: June, 1, 2 & 5, 1911.

Pierre Martin died at St-Roch-de-Richelieu on May 8, 1920 and he was buried there two days later. He was 55 years old. Rose Anna died at St-Roch-de-Richelieu on Jan. 3, 1935 and she was buried there two days later. She was 68 years old.
