Biography

Amada was born on 22 Jun 1872 in Losoya, Bexar County, Texas. She was the daughter of Gabriel Martinez and Mariana Leal. She received the sacrament of Baptism on 16 Sep 1872 at St. Carmen Catholic Church, Losoya, Texas.^[1]

The 1880 United States Census cited that Amada Martines was the daughter of Grival Martines. She was 8 years old and born in Texas. Her estimated year of birth was 1872. Event Date: 16 Jun 1880. Event Place: Precinct 4, Bexar County, Texas.^[2]

Amada married Felix Lopez, the son of Gregorio Lopez and Secundian Cortes. Witnesses were Francisco Reyes and Rita Martinez. They were married at St. Carmen Catholic Church in Losoya, Texas. Rev D Vento, Catholic Priest, performed the marriage ceremony.^[3]

Amada passed away on 25 Jun 1968 in Bexar County, Texas. She was 95-96 years of age and a widow. Amada is buried at El Carmen Cemetery, Losoya, Texas.^[4][5]
