Biography

Lucia Martinez was born on 15 Jul 1943 in Bexar County, Texas. Her parents were Ignacio Martinez and Soila Vargas.^[1]

Lucia married Andrew Rodriguez about 1957. From this union they had the following children:

• Elizabeth Rodriguez, born on 22 Jul 1959;
• Susana Rodriguez, born on 01 Oct 1960; and
• Sandra Ann Rodriguez, born on 04 May 1962.

All of the above-named children were born in Bexar County, Texas.

Lucia married Armando Fierros Gonzales, the son of Pedro Gonzales and Concepcion Fierros. They were united in Holy Matrimony on 26 Feb 1983 in Bexar County, Texas. Lucia was 39 years of age and Armando was 45 years old.^[2]

Their children are

• Mona Lisa Gonzales, born 05 May 1973;
• Lucia Gonzales, born 25 Aug 1974;
• Sonia Gonzales, born 08 Oct 1975; and
• Angel Rene Gonzales, born 15 Dec 1991.

Lucia passed away on 25 Apr 2009 at the age of 65. She was preceded in death by her husband, Armando Fierros Gonzales. Funeral services was under the direction of Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, Texas. Visitation was held at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, 28 Apr 2009, at the funeral home. A Rosary was recited at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, 29 Apr 2009. A procession departed the funeral home on Thursday, 30 Apr 2009 at 9:30 am for a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. Interment followed in San Fernando Cemetery No. 2.^[3][4]
