Maria Isabel was born in 1825. she was the daughter of Miguel Antonio Martin and Maria Petra de Jesus Romero. She passed away in 1877.

(When the 1850 Census was conducted, Maria Isabel Martin and her husband and children lived in the same area, The Northern Division of Taos County in New Mexico, as that of her parents. Her parents were Miguel Antonio Martin and Maria de Jesus Romero, who lived nearby with their children who still lived at home. One of the families was enumerated by Census takers on the 25th of Nov; while the other was taken the 7th of December.)^[1]

• In 1870, Maria Isabel Romero, age 43, lived in Cucharas, Huerfano, Colorado Territory, with her husband, Lorenzo Romero, age 56 and a farmer, and their children: Jose Antonio Romero, age 16; a farm laborer; Mary de Luvina Romero, age 15; Jose Geronimo Romero, age 14, a sheep herder; Maria Marcelina Romero, age 11; Maria Crecencia Romero, age 9; Jose Margarito Romero, age 6; and Jose Leandro Romero, age 1.^[3]

• Maria Isabel Martinez Romero died Apr 1877 (age 52) in Walsenburg, Huerfano County, Colorado, and she was interred at South Saint Mary Cemetery, Walsenburg, Huerfano County, Colorado, USA.^[4][5]
