Biography

Olaf was born in 1868 to Ola Martensson and Mathea Christine Hansen (per marriage registration). ^{[1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6]}

Married Emilie Margrethe Ipsen. Left his wife Emilie Margrethe Ipsen and their first born son in Aakirkeby, Bornholm to go to Canada in 1888 to set up. She followed in May 1889. They appear to have all come through Quebec.

Job listed as a railroad labourer (1891) ^[2], Section CPR foreman (1901), ^[3], farmer (1921) ^[5]. Olaf's widowed mother ("Matilda") lived with the family as of the 1911 census.

Olaf and Emile had children. The first was born in Denmark, and the rest in Ontario.

Emile passed in 1909. Olaf is listed as widowed in the 1911 census and Olaf's widowed mother ("Matilda") is listed as living with the family.

Olaf Martinson and Sally Johnson married in 1913. ^[7]. They had children.

He passed away in 1949. ^[8][9][10]
