"Rebecca Mashburn was the daughter of Elisha Mashburn and his first wife, whose name is at present unknown, was born 24 May 1805 in North Carolina, possibly in Burke County."
"She died 11 September 1896 in Union County, Georgia at the age of ninety-one. She was buried beside her husband in the family cemetery on Young Cane [Creek] in Union County, Georgia. In the fall of 1957 these graves were moved from this inaccessible cemetery to a new location in the Confidence Methodist Church Cemetery on Young Cane [Creek], Union County, Georgia."[1]
