Hi!

Just checking in with a few quick tips:

Free Space pages are wiki pages for supplementing your family history. They can be used to profile anything of significance such as a special pet, a meaningful event, a school you attended, a family heirloom .... They're "anything pages".

Not sure what to include in a profile? Check out our Biography Ideas and Styles and Standards help pages.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, please ask!

Hi Steve

I see you also uploaded a GEDCOM. Here's a link to a great step-by-step of the process including screenshots that you might find helpful.

Help pages give lots of info about the process, best to start with 'Before you import a GEDCOM'.

If you have brick walls, collaboration might help bust through. WikiTree has one profile for each person, so the further back you go in your ancestry, the more likely cousins will find you and help out. ANY Wiki Genealogist can edit "Open" profiles (over 200 years old).

Discussions tagged as GEDCOM in the G2G forum and brickwall.

Thanks for joining us, Steve. My eyes went about THIS WIDE when I saw that your site had been online for 20 years - yours must be one of the oldest family trees online. Wow.

You might like to check out our One Name Studies project for ideas to find other Mashburns to collaborate with.
