Biography
William was born in 1804. He was convicted of stealing chickens and was sent to Van Diemen’s Land, now Tasmania. Once he was a free man, he changed his name to William Henry Mason, previously Henry William Mason. This has been verified by DNA matches. He passed away in 1883.
