Horace was born in 1900.^[1] He was the son of William Mason and Lydia Millward. He passed away about 1987.

Census

1901 in Brailsford, Derbyshire at Ednaston Hall, William J Mason was 67 years old. He was married to Lydia, age 31 and born in Alstonfield, Staffordshire. Children in the house were: John G, age 24; John B, age 21; Ada A, age 17; John H, age 5; Arthur, age 4; Elise M, age 3; and Horace W, age 1. ^[2]

1911 William John's surname was listed in this index as Watson, even though his wife Lydia and children were all listed as Mason. Children in the house were Arthur, age 13; May Elsey, age 12; William Harriet (Horriss?), age 11; Evlin Mary, age 7; and Allick Samuel, age 2. They were living in Derby, Derbyshire. ^[3]
