Martha Mason was the daughter of Thomas Mason and Elizabeth Patrick (???illigitimate). She ws baptised at the Baptist Church, Burton Latimer, 12 November 1836[1]
In 1841 she was aged 6, living in the Duke's Head, Burton Latimer with Thomas Mason, aged 44-48, William Mason aged 21-25, John Mason and Mary Mason aged 8. All gave Northamptonshire as their county of birth[2].
In 1851, aged 15, she was a servant in the household of George Ambridge, a Butcher, Crispin Street, St Sepulchres, Northampton[3]
In the December quarter of 1857 she married Samuel Hull or Hall of Cranford [4] and in 1861 the couple were living in Burton Latimer with Samuel's younger brother Thomas, and Joseph Eady, a border. At this time, Samuel was a Brick-maker [5]
In 1871 the family - now including children Frederick (4) and Hannah (2) were still living in Burton Latimer. Samuel was still a Brickmaker [6].
In 1881 Martha and Samuel (still a Brickmaker) were living with their children Frederick, Elizabeth (10) and Rose (3) at Croxen's Yard, Burton Latimer [7]
In 1891 Martha, Samuel, Frederick (both Brickmakers) and Rose were still living at Croxen's Yard [8]
Martha died in the December quarter of 1900, and her death was registered in the Kettering District.
In 1901 Samuel, now a Brickyard labourer, was living alone in Croxen's Yard[9]
