Mary Sophia Mason was born in 1838 to William Mason and Rebecca Haynes (Hogg) Mason.

She married 1) William Edward Moses (Morris) on 19 July 1855 at Choriton-Upon- Medlock, Lancastershire, England. ^{[1] [2]}

|NOTE: It is unclear whether Moses in the marriage record is a typo or whether

|William Edward changed their last name in the passage to Australia. The image

|of the marriage register clearly says Moses. It is improbable that Mary Sophia

|married William Edward Moses AND William Edward Morris. Her Australian

|death record proves that she is this Mary Sophia. - REP
