Lucy (Mason) Hammond was born in Massachusetts.

Lucy, the first child of Abel Mason and Ruth Hobbs was born 11 June 1764 at Sturbridge, Massachusetts.^[1]

Lucy married Hinsdale Hamant (alias Hammond), son of Seth and Zillah (Clark) Hamant on 14 July 1785 at Sturbridge, Massachusetts.^[2]Lucy and Hinsdale had ten children:
