Sallie (Mason) Justice was born in Accomack County

Sallie^[1][2] was born in 1843. She was the daughter of William Mason and Tabitha Justice. She passed away in 1923.

Sally was born on 11 February 1842 at Accomack Co, VA.^[3]

Sally was listed with her parents in the census of 1860 at Accomack Parish, Acc Co, VA. She was shown as Sally Justice Mason, age 16 in HH#506 headed by William Mason, a 50 year old farmer..^[2]

She married Revell James Justice Sr., son of John (of I.) Justice and Catherine Barnes, on 17 December 1863 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as Revel James Justice, a 23 year old waterman, the son of Jno. & Catharine Justice and she was shown as Sally Mason, age 20, the daughter of Wm. & Tabitha Mason. They were married by E.S. Grant..^[1]

As of 17 December 1863,her married name was Justice.

Sally Justice Mason was named in her mother's obituary on 11 May 1897 at Accomack Co, VA. Mrs. Tabitha Mason, highly respected and loved by a large circle of friends for her many excellent traits of character died on Friday, April 30, aged 85 years and was buried on Sunday in the family burying ground at her home near Parksley, after funeral services, conducted by her pastor, Rev. A. Donovan of M.P. Church. She was stricken down with paralysis 29 years ago and has been confined to her room ever since. Her husband, Mr. William Mason, to who she was married 65 years ago, and the following children survive her: Thorogood Mason, Mrs. Wm. G. Barnes, Mrs. Edward J. Russell, Mrs. John R. Coard, Mrs. Revel J. Justis, and Mrs. Caroline Copes. (from a newspaper clipping dated 11 May 1897, originally owned by Mrs. Helen Kline.)^[4]

Sally died on 24 January 1923 at age 80.^[3]

Her body was interred at Liberty Cem, Parksley, Acc Co, VA. Her tombstone shows her as Sallie W. Justis, wife of Revel J. Justis, 11 Feb 1842 - 24 Jan 1923..^[3]
