On 15 February 1873, at St Elphin's church, Warrington, William married Jane Insley. Witnesses were Amelia Shaw, Jane's sister and David Shaw, her brother-in-law. [3]
In 1881 he was living with his wife and son at 96 Church Street Warrington. He was a hamper maker. [4]
