Hi Carol,

I see that you just did the Pre-1700 Self-Certification. That's great! Is there a particular time period, location, or topic you're interested in? Maybe you have some historically-significant ancestors? Participation in a project is strongly encouraged for those wishing to edit Pre-1700 profiles. Be sure to also check out our Volunteer Hub to see our projects that really need new members!

Let me know, and I can help you figure out if there's a project that might interest you. Welcome aboard, we are glad to have you!

Carol, I have some information regarding the descendants of Mary Mogford, specifically my grandmother. What is the best way to install it into the database. Cheers, Ron

Hi Carol,

I noticed we have a match with Frederick Jame Devlyn, son of James Powell Devlyn (Devlin) and Jessie Annie Thorne. Fantastic! I have read through the book "In Search of the six hundred" whivh focuses on the Thorne family, but the Devlyn's join in when James and Jessie married and had their children. This s where my partner comes in, from this line, Jessie and James had 9 children, one being Frederick James Devlyn who married Anne Jones. They had 1 children and one being Esma Fay who married Xavier Archibald Simpson. Esma and Xavier are my partners grandparents!

Congratulations, you have now been a WikiTree member for over a month! Here are some further ideas to help you make the most of our site.

Beyond The Basics of WikiTree is a guide to some more advanced features of WikiTree.

If you would like to help out in other areas, the opportunities can be found at Volunteers Needed.

If you haven’t found us already, WikiTree is active on many Social Sites. We also have a blog with news of WikiTree events and further ideas from WikiTree members.

Hi Carol,

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful. Free Space pages are wiki pages for supplementing your family history. They can be used to profile anything of significance such as a special pet, a meaningful event, a school you attended, a family heirloom .... They're "anything pages". Not sure what to include in a profile? Check out our Biography Ideas and Styles and Standards help pages. Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies. Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations. If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page! John Beeson WikiTree Mentor
