Daniel Mason was born 23 July 1792 in Stonington, New London County, Connecticut, USA, the son of Nehemiah Mason and Bridget Denison. ^{[1] [2]}

He married Hannah Punderson Williams 10 February 1817 in Stonington. Witness to the marriage were Jesse D. Noyes and John D. Noyes.^[2]

Captain Daniel Mason died 30 October 1833.^[2]
