Biography

Currently reside in Victoria, BC, where I moved to further pursue medieval studies at the University of Victoria eons ago. Proposed MA thesis was to investigate social value systems in the Medieval English village pre the plague and after 1066 utilizing manorial court rolls - yes, as it may be self evident from the above, this type of research still greatly entices me. When not daydreaming about dusty medieval texts, quilting, crocheting, gardening, canning, testing new recipes, and running amok with grandchildren keeps me on my toes.

Hi Shelagh,

Thanks for choosing the Ireland Project.

The Ireland Project (previously the Irish Roots Project) has now changed its structure into Teams. We require everyone with the Ireland Badge to be a member of at least one Team or Sub-Team and our google group. See https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:Ireland for details. The Teams are :-

1. Categories Team
2. Counties Team
3. Managed Profiles Team
4. Membership Team
5. Profile Improvement Team
6. Topics Team
7. Diaspora

Can you let me know which team(s) you’d like to join.

Many thanks,

Maria

Hi Shelagh,

We realise the time has come to dissolve the UK Project in favour of the individual country projects of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.

We are checking in with all UK badge holders to find out which country project(s) you would like to be in so you can collaborate with other members, have the opportunity to select which team(s) you would like to join, and so we can ensure you have all the correct badges.

Please respond by PM to let us know which country project(s) you would like to be in. Please don’t assume we know. We are effectively starting from scratch to make sure no one falls through the cracks.

Once you have done this, the Coordinator for Membership in the relevant country project(s) will be in touch to help get you situated.

Many thanks,

Susie

Hi Shelagh

We sent you a message about a week ago about the England Project but have not yet heard back from you. If we don't hear from you by this time next week we'll assume you no longer wish to be in the project.

Many thanks,

Susie, Gillian, Wendy and Amy

Hi Shelagh

On behalf of the England Project Leaders we're carrying out a check-in to see how all the members are doing and taking the opportunity to thank you for all your hard work over the past six months. We have been so impressed with the way everyone has rallied together and gone the extra mile to make this one of the most dedicated, productive and friendly communities on WikiTree. What are you enjoying most about being in the project? What would you like to see improved or changed? Would you like to continue in the project moving forwards?

We're looking forward to hearing back from you,

Susie, Gillian, Wendy and Amy

Hi Shelagh,

It's been a year since the England Project was re-ignited. Thank you for being part of this exciting journey!

We really appreciate all your contributions and hard work :)

We would love some feedback from you please. :)

Are you happy contributing with the team you are on, or would you like a change, or even add to another team?

If you are not already on a team, which one would you like to be on?

If you are not sure what is available, just ask, we are here to help :)

Are you still happy contributing to the England Project?

Please PM me through my profile and let me know how you are doing :)

Thank you :)

Wendy Leader England Project.

You have made some changes to my tree for Charles Mosson and Elizabeth Olliffee. although you are correct, there are older siblings that are not included in that census, including my direct ancestor Emma. I will accept it, as far as it goes, and I suppose Em could have been away at that time - there is a potential scandal surrounding her and the paternity of my GGrandpa

Hi Shelagh,

I noticed that you used the Challenge Tracker to track changes during last month's Sourcerers' Challenge. Please consider officially joining us for the Sourcerers' Challenge. You can find information, including how to join, on the Sourcerers Project page.

No pressure, every profile with a source makes our WikiTree better. Your work will continue to be included on the Tracking Sheet even if you do not register.

Hi Shelagh

A warm welcome to the England Project. We are so glad you joined us!!

Your badge also automatically signs you up to the United Kingdom Project.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions and don’t forget to add England and United_Kingdom to your tags.

Hi ,

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page. Michelle ~ WikiTree Mentor
