Biography

Cheshire (historic flag)
Hannah (Mason) Aspinall was born in Cheshire, England.

Hannah was born in Chester, Cheshire, England, around 1803. (Census reports from 1851, and 1861, as well as age listed on her death certificate put date of birth range from 1803, to 1808. Since her marriage occurred in 1822, best guess would be the earlier date of 1803). Hannah's parents were Agnes Tuck, and Allen Mason Jr. It is unknown, at this time, whether Hannah had any siblings.

Hannah married Joseph Aspinall on December 2, 1822, in Liverpool, Lancashire, England, at Holy Trinity Church. Joseph's sister, Hannah (Aspinall) Trenor, and her husband, Henry, signed as witnesses. Hannah and Joseph would have seven children between 1823, and 1838. Joseph passed away in 1847, and Hannah continued living in the Liverpool area. In 1851, she is residing with daughter Elizabeth, and her husband, James Ryan. By 1861, she is listed as head of household, with her daughter, Martha, and her husband, William Moreton also at residence along with Martha's newborn son, Joseph. Hannah passed away on February 11, 1865, in Liverpool, Lancashire, England. Her death certificate lists cause of death as cancer of the breast.
