Biography

Nicholas was born about 1788. Nicholas was the child of Jac Massey and Catharine Barrier. Nicholas passed away in 1847. [1]

Nicholas Elon Massey Birth: 1788 Iredell County North Carolina, USA Death: Nov. 26, 1847 Pulaski County Kentucky, USA

According to family notes, Nicholas Elon (Sr) died in 1847 and was buried in the Massey Cem. in Pumpkin Hollow, presumably where he lived the last part of his life. This cemetery has been abused and held hostage by those that own the property. I myself have seen garbage burned in the sunken graves. My uncle told me that the "caretakers" would remove field stones and toss them along the fence row, in order to make mowing easier. We seem to have had many of our ancestors misplaced in this way. He also told me, that at one family reunion, the owners of the property set up a roadblock to stop the reunion members from accessing the cemetery by car.
