Biography

Ann Masters was born about 1755 to William Masters and Mary Dawson. She apparently married a man with the surname Davis (Ancestry Trees list him as James Davis -- with no other info yet found[1], Russell Long's Roots Web page has his birth about 1752) about 1778 (in TN?)[2]. She then married George Long (aka Johann Georg Lang) In 1784 in Surry Co., NC. They had between 3 to 6 children together. Sons George Washington and William are relatively well documented. FamilySearch & Ancestry also names Joseph as a son (1788–1797). 2 earlier sons and 1 daughter, names unknown are listed on Russell Long's Roots Web page. Ann died sometime after 1820[3]
