Biography

John Masters married Mary Nicholson on 26 October 1762 at Borden where the banns were read on 10, 17 and 24 October. Both were of the parish, but the witnesses were Sarah Kidwell and John Miles. Mary, “wife of John” was buried there not twenty years later on 25 January 1782, and John of this parish on 21 May 1815 aged 77, at Borden, so presumably born about 1738, which fits with a John bap 14 Oct 1738 at Maidstone, son of John and Susanna. They left six children, all baptised at Borden.[microfilm of original registers] Has a son William but no daughter Susanna. Need to find wills.
