There is a William Masterson who marries a Bridget and in the 1865 NY state census they are 27 and she is 26 and children Mary Masterson 3 and Margaret Masterson 1 so they probably married in 1861 approx. This Bridget's maiden name is Geogharty as per the Ancestry public tree (Condit(1) of Karenwood178. In that public tree it says William dies 1901-02-10 NY (his parents were William Masterson and Margaret Masterson). His wife Bridget Geogharty (1840-1884), his children Mary Ann Masterson (1862-1917), Margaret Masterson (1864-), Julia Masterson (1867-1943), William Masterson (1868-1910), Ann Masterson (1868-), John Masterson (1870-). William's death certificate at age 63 in Kings, New York was number 2859.

He possibly died 1901-02-10 New York city at age of 63. certificate 28??9 see ancestry.

There is a small Masterson group who immigrates from England to NY city in 1850 comprising of John Masterson, 18, so born around 1832, William 16, so born around 1834, Mary, 11, so born around 1839 and Ann, 8, so born around 1842. They seem to be travelling as siblings. Maybe the father had already arrived to find them a place. https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:939V-5LSL-DP?i=766&cc=1849782
