Furthermore, the record identifies his parents as James Matheson and Isabella Matheson, whose maiden name was Fyffe.

1932 - Marriage: Musselburgh, Midlothian, Scotland. [1]
A marriage register entry for the District of Inveresk in the County of Midlothian tells us that on Wednesday, June 1, 1932, at 107 High Street, Musselburgh, 31-year-old bachelor Joseph Matheson, a motor lorry driver, married 25-year-old spinster Alexandrina Mathieson, a clerkess, after banns according to the forms of the Church of Scotland.
The register entry also informs us that groom Joseph lived at 3 Monkton Hall Terrace, Musselburgh; his father was gardener (journeyman) James Matheson and his mother was Isabella Matheson, formerly Fyffe. Furthermore, bride Alexandrina lived at 50 Newbigging, Musselburgh; her father was chick weighman William John Mathieson and her mother was Helen Gray Mathieson, formerly Hunter.
Minister William Edie, performed the ceremony, witnessed by David Robertson, 90 High Street and Jessie Matheson, Monktonhall Terrace. The marriage was reported in Musselburgh on Saturday, June 4, 1932, to assistant registrar Jas B Arnott.
