Biography
Allan Matheson was born in Scotland.
Allan was born in 1784. He passed away in 1870. Back in 1822, Allan Matheson applied for a land grant in Cape Breton with John Finlayson. John Finlayson was married to Christena Cameron (who may be a sister to Allan's wife Margaret) John and Christy had 9 kids, 2 went to Ontario, and the other 7 children with the mother Christy (John was dead by then) all moved to Waipu New Zealand. It was a migration of about 7 boats in the 1850's.
