Biography
William was born about 1799. He was the son of Angus Matheson and Elizabeth Matheson.
William was probably, with his brother Robert, the two men aged 16-50 enumerated in his father's household in 1817.[1]
On 4 July 1827, Angus Matheson of the East Side Middle River sold 75 acres to his son (as specified in the deed) William.[2] William sold this land to William Mortimer in 1830.[3]
In 1871 he was enumerated with his widowed sister-in-law Margaret and her children Christy, Robert, and Charles.[4]
